Connect an eligible account
Authorize an Instagram Business or Creator account through Meta’s official flow. RelayDM stores a revocable access token, never the Instagram password.
Choose the trigger surface
Use comments, incoming text DMs or Story text replies. Comment rules can target selected media or the connected account; Story rules can target any Story or a specific Story ID.
Define the match
Match configured keywords or use the relevant catch-all mode. Matching is case-insensitive, exclusions can block comment matches, and specific keyword rules take priority where applicable.
Write the text response
Configure the initial DM copy and optionally reuse saved DM text. Comment automations can also publish a short acknowledgement after the private reply succeeds.
Attach the next step
Enable one or two labelled tracked destinations. Instagram receives text plus tracked URLs—not native buttons or cards. A Smart Follow-Up can run once, 15 minutes to 12 hours later, when its configured condition is still unmet.
Optionally capture a lead before reveal
Use a Lead Gate to collect an email, email + name, or one qualifying answer before the resource is revealed. A user-confirmed follow step is optional and never presented as follower verification.
Activate and measure
Once active, eligible events enter the configured route. Review attempted, sent and failed records, total click events, estimated unique clickers and Primary or Secondary slot context.
